Regenerative medicine

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at increased pressure.

Physician-supervised sessions breathing medical-grade oxygen inside a pressurised chamber, offered as part of a wider recovery or longevity plan.

Physician-supervised Wellness range, 1.3 to 2.0 ATA Screening required

What it is

Oxygen, at pressure.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy means breathing 100% medical-grade oxygen inside a pressurised chamber, at above atmospheric pressure. Under Henry's Law of gas solubility, this allows considerably more oxygen to dissolve into blood plasma and reach tissues than breathing oxygen at normal pressure.

Internationally, HBOT delivered at 2.0 to 3.0 ATA is a recognised treatment for specific medical conditions such as decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, non-healing wounds, radiation injury, severe infections, certain grafts and sudden hearing loss. Modern Health's programme runs at a lower pressure range, 1.3 to 2.0 ATA, the wellness and recovery range used in sports, longevity and integrative settings. Here it is offered as a supportive, non-invasive therapy for recovery, performance, cognitive clarity and healthy ageing, not as a substitute for treatment of the medical conditions listed above. A pre-session screening with a Modern Health physician confirms your suitability before your first session.

Session types and lengths

Single or double, 60 or 90 minutes.

Pressure rises slowly, with guidance from the team on equalising your ears as you go.

Step 3

Rest at pressure

Rest, read, or watch something on the cabin's screen while the session runs.

Step 4

Gradual depressurisation

Pressure eases back down slowly, then you step out with no downtime required.

Common questions

Questions, answered.

Who screens me before my first session?

A Modern Health physician completes a brief health screening ahead of your first session to confirm HBOT is an appropriate and safe fit for you. Bring a valid ID to that first visit.

What pressure does the chamber run at?

Sessions run at 1.3 to 2.0 ATA in a hard-shell Ueerl H6 chamber with 96% medical-grade oxygen. This is the range used in sports, longevity and integrative medicine settings, not the higher clinical range.

Can two people share a session?

Yes. The chamber has two recliners, so a double session lets two people, such as partners or family, share the same session. Double sessions are priced separately from single sessions.

How should I prepare?

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours and caffeine for a few hours beforehand, eat a light meal, wear 100% cotton clothing, and remove jewellery, electronics and oil-based products on arrival. There is no downtime afterwards.

Is HBOT a treatment for a medical condition?

Not at Modern Health. Higher-pressure hyperbaric oxygen is a recognised treatment for a defined set of medical conditions. Our programme at 1.3 to 2.0 ATA is offered as supportive therapy for recovery, performance and healthy ageing, not as a substitute for that treatment.
